Material for a Sacco-Vanzetti Meeting. August project 1939
New York: Youth and English-Speaking Division, Workmen's Circle, 1939. [5p.], 8.5x11 inch mimeographed sheets formerly stapled at left, staples removed, pages loose, but all present, as confirmed by comparison with an intact example. Two of the sheets have ndifferent ames written on them in pencil (Max and Lil), suggesting that the packet may have been taken apart for participants to read during a meeting. "Enclosed you will find some material for a Sacco-Vanzetti program... I am sure that many of our branches would want to devote a meeting to the memory of these martyrs. The present project consists of three brief things: 1. A part of Sacco's last letter to his son. 2. A page from Felix Frankfurter's excellent book on the Sacco-Vanzetti case. 3. A poem by John Dos Passos." Students were to read the materials for branch discussions. (Inventory #: 212516)
