Hardcover. 90p., 4.75x7.25 inches, foreword, introduction, essays, Craig's essay, illustrated with b&w and color plates reproducing bookplates and typography, fine first edition limited to 450 copies for the Book Club bound in persimmon boards with floral vignette on cover and wine quarter-cloth backing, gilt spine titles in original glassine dj. Publication no. 164. There were 500 copies printed for The Typophiles, 400 paperback copies for Hurtwood in the UK and 125 special copies signed and containing two unique woodcuts by Gordon Craig. This is from the Book Club of California 450 copy run.
