No place, no date, circa 1965. Inscribed in white ink against the dark background near the botton: "For the distinguished lawyer Jacob Bacal with my warm regard, Jake Ehrlich." Very good(+) condition. American lawyer whose career as a defense and divorce attorney spanned close to 50 years. Known as "the Master," his clients included Gene Krupa for cannabis, Billie Holiday for heroin, Errol Flynn for divorce, Gertrude Morris for murdering her husband, as well as cases representing Caryl Chessman, Sally Rand, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Alan Ginsberg.
