Mountaineer Robert L.M. Underhill's copy, with his ownership stamp on the front pastedown. Underhill (1889-1983) was an "American mountaineer best known for introducing modern Alpine style rope and belaying techniques to the U.S. climbing community in the late 1920s and early 1930s" (Wikipedia); he edited the journal "Appalachia" for the Appalachian Mountain Club, 1928-1934. Neate 66 (for the 1937 English translations): "[Bauer was a] German lawyer and mountaineer [who led] pre-war German expeditions to Kanchenjunga and Nanga Parbat." Very good.
