Chicago: RAND, McNally & Co. 1882. Pamphlet for the Illinois Central Rail Road with fold-out map of the railroad and its connections from 1882, in very good condition. Blue paper wrappers with illustration and title on front, string-bound. Wrappers have light wear to fold and light soiling near all edges. Unpaginated but includes advertisements for the Rail Road and time tables, with the fold-out map located in the center. Text block has light soiling but otherwise in very good condition. When unfolded, map measures 21" wide by 15 1/2" tall and is fragile but only has light toning at folds. Map is in b&w and details the lines and connections of the Illinois Central RR. As stated on the map, it was the "only line to the west and south from Chicago that enters and departs over the Great 4 Track Route, along the lakefront into the heart of the city." ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall .
