The forward is titled Recipes by Famouse Clevland Cooks, Published by The Cleveland News for Distribution Among Its Readers. The Foreword by the Women's Editor of the Cleveland News reveals this Cook Book is not the work of one cooking expert, but of many -- the expert home cooks who read The Cleveland News. The recipes have been tried by those who originally prepared them. Many of the contributions are in the first person, just as they were written by the women who sent them to the Household Department of the News.
