Sir Frank Swettenham, (1850-1946) was a British colonial official in Malaya who was highly influential in shaping British policy and the structure of British administration in the Malay Peninsula. This is his first and only collection of short fiction, reprinted as STORIES AND SKETCHES (with additions?) in 1967 by Oxford University Press.
