Rare plan of the Battle of Montmouth, New Jersey, the last major confrontation between the American and British armies in the North during the American Revolution. The positions held by both armies are depicted, with a key of 22 descriptions below the map. From 'Essais Historiques et Politiques sur les Anglo-Americains', the author writes of the origins of the American Revolution and its political influence in France and the rest of Europe. He also writes on battles and events in the American War for Independence.
