Associated Press [& other media outlets], 1972. Photograph. Collection of 76 silver print photographs mostly by the Association Press, all except five are from 1972. Per usual of press release photos, most contain an information slip affixed to the verso (some fold over to the front), and some have caption within the photo edges. Most photos are in very good condition, but for just a few which have discolored evenly with age, and some minor edgewear and handling throughout. 38 photographs portray individual anti-war demonstrators being arrested and brutalized by police, 2 photographs of demonstrations in Manila, 5 show anti-war protesters clashing with pro-Nixon construction workers, and another 5 photographs of a construction workers' demo in support of the administration's Indochina policy in 1970, and finally, there are 26 combat scenes from the Vietnam War mainly of the takeover of Quang Tri City in which the journalists followed the South Vietnamese forces into victory.
