1955. Prints lightly creased, else in near fine condition.. Set of two original 7 X 9 inch silver gelatin prints, depicting the towing of a submerged automobile out of the San Francisco Bay. Prints are accompanied by a clipping from the August 4, 1955, issue of the San Francisco Chronicle, featuring an image of the event with the following caption: "A heavy-duty Atlas tow truck finally raised the car and its dead occupant to the surface." One print has been marked with the handwritten notation "Prob. of C. Artal" on the verso.
