Lightly dampstained. Very good. Untrimmed. A discourse by Frédéric-Ignace de Mirbeck before the Colonial Assembly of Saint Domingue. Mirbeck, along with Roume de Saint- Laurent and Saint-Leger, was appointed Commissaire Nationaux-Civil and sent to Saint Domingue following the insurrection there. They remained on the island from November 29, 1791 through April 1, 1792. This text contains his first address to the assembly, preceding the general amnesty proclaimed on December 5.
