Cap Français [Saint Domingue]: L'Imprimerie Nationale, chez G. Decombaz et Comp, 1792. Broadsheet, 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. Quarto. Two moderate chips not afftecting text, other minor edge wear. Very good. Untrimmed. In response to a letter from Dec. 15, 1791, the commissioners sent to Haiti to resolve the political crisis urge the constabulary at St. Marc to rejoin their duties, after the provincial assembly there had disbanded them. The commissioners advise that the resolutions of the assembly are null and void, and that the commissions granted to police the town by the French colonial government are still in effect. Rare, as is all early printing from the Caribbean, with no copies in OCLC, and not in Roquincourt. (Inventory #: WRCAM51770)
