Dorr Steele, and others. Owner's gift inscription on preliminary, decorative bookplate on front pastedown, hinge cracked, spine faded, cloth and pages stained, dampstain on front hinge and spine, a good only copy lacking the dustwrapper. One of the author's most successful works, later adapted by him into a play, and then filmed twice as a silent, in 1915 with Marc MacDermott as the doomed father, and then in 1926 with Richard Barthelmess swashbuckling through the title role.
