The International Competition for a New Administration Building for the Chicago Tribune MCMXXII
Chicago: The Tribune Company, 1923. Hardcover. Very Good. A solid, very presentable copy of the 1923 1st edition. Tight and VG in its original buckram binding, with clean leather title-label at the front panel and evenly chipped title label at the spine. Light staining to the bottom-edge of the first dozen or so pages, mild soiling at the endpapers and pastedowns. Small former owner name at the front free endpaper's verso, clear, archival tape evenly applied at the inner hinges as reinforcement. Tall, thick quarto, 281 crisp black-and-white renderings showcasing some of the great international architects of the day, such as Adolph Loos, Walter Gropius, Eliel Saarinen, etc. An introductory note by Louis Sullivan.
