In this tale of Halloween horror, David, a down on his luck man, moves from the city back to his rural childhood home with his wife and young son, and things go from bad to worse as David turns to alcohol in a futile attempt to deal with his faltering self-esteem. His young son’s desires for a Halloween jack-o-lantern prompt him to revisit the spooky house across the street which is the scene of his traumatic childhood memories in order to retrieve a huge and perfect pumpkin he sees in the unkempt yard. Let’s just say that things did not go well for David as the story ends with a replacement of his own head with the pumpkin, and with his severed head cradled in the arms of a grinning skeleton resting in an open coffin across the street.
