Knowledge of the 1965 finds has been used in this work but the Archaic finds of that year, as well as all the Classical and Roman material from the excavation, are reserved for a later publication after further study. In the interests of speedy publication the aim here has been to give full descriptions and illustration (except of duplicates) with that minimum of discussion and comparanda which the authors believe to be also an optimum in excavation reports of this type."
