First (separate) printing of Miller's enthusiastic letter to Bernard Wolfe in response to having read Mezzrow's and Wolfe's REALLY THE BLUES. The date of production of this item is uncertain. Miller's letter is dated 5 May 1948, postdating the book's 1946 publication, and the text appeared, in translation, as a preface to the 1950 French edition, and in English in the 1964 Signet paperback. It is possible it was used to promote the interim revised Dell paperback printing. S&J A67.
