First edition of the first separate publication by the future editor of the Dickinson manuscripts. Todd's short story was first published in the 27 September issue of THE INDEPENDENT, and according to Seven Gables MORE FIRST BOOKS (item 266), 127 copies of this separate edition were printed, of which six copies were specially bound.
