The story of Ellis working in Australia as a teacher. Small 8vo, 68 pp. Yellow cloth backed gray green boards, with title in black at white spine label. Boards lightly sunned at top and bottom edges. Original yellow dj with glassine wrapper. Dj is dusty and ruffled at edges. Glassine slightly chipped at top and bottom edges of front cover. Internally, bookplate of The Golden Cockerel Press inside front cover, with the initials O. R., C. S. and F. J. N. for Owen Rutter, Christoper Sanford and Francis Newbery, the three directors who took over the press in 1933. There is a pencil notation on the bookplate "Eye Manor, Leominster", which was the country house of Christopher Sanford, one of the directors. Chanticleer No. 5.
