Annapolis:: The Maurice Leeser Co,, 1958.. Paperback.. 8vo. Green cloth boards with gilt title to front board and to spine. Wear and fraying to corners and spine ends. Minor bubbling to boards. Ex-library from "News-post and American Library" with stamps to endpages and title page. The front hinge is cracked. The interior includes many illustrations including a fold out diagram of the organization of the Maryland state government. There are notes in pencil throughout, some of which are on scraps of paper that are paper clipped or stapled in place. Most of the notes appear to be corrections of names associated with various departments. There is dampstaining to the bottom and top edges of many pages which has resulted in several pages sticking together. Pocket on the inside of rear wrapper contains a brochure entitled "Maryland's Flag, Seal, Song, Flower, Bird and Tree" and also an official highway map of Maryland from 1957. The map was not originally issued with this book. A heavily used copy that does appear to have many useful and carefully researched handwritten notes which may make this particular copy more useful to a historian than a pristine copy would be.
