Profusely illustrated with engraved portraits, group photos, plates, exterior and interior images of lodges and other Masonic buildings, facsimiles, etc. Original pictorial blind stamped leather, decorated and lettered in gilt on spines and front covers, all edges gilt. Two or three ownership stamps, a few minor surface scratches to rear cover of volume one, but a magnificent set, the best we have seen. The first and best history of the Masonic order in California. Includes a great deal of information including the general history of Masonry from its beginnings. Quite hard to find, especially in this condition and complete in the two volumes.
