Collation: [2], [vii] viii-xiv, [1] 2-272 pp. + photogravure frontispiece and several diagrams and graphs in text. The binding and text are in very good condition. The dust jacket is in mylar sleave but has loss at top of spine and corners. There is a 5 cm tear at the rear upper corner adjacent to spine that extends to printing but not affecting any letters. Fisher was one of the first to use recent advancements in heredity and genetics and Darwin and Wallace’s publications on Natural Selection as a driving force for evolution. In this study Fisher states that “Natural Selection is not Evolution” and proceeds to provide detailed analysis of the use of genetic analysis to better understand the process of change in organisms that contribute to Natural Selection and, therefore, Evolution. (Garrison-Morton, 253.1).
