Boston Houghton Mifflin Company / The Riverside Press 1957 Hardcover First edition 86pp. Quarto [28.5 cm] Light green cloth covered boards with yellow ink stamped titles, and a yellow ink stamped design of Pagoo on the front cover. Near fine condition. The front endsheet is darkened along the hinge. The dust jacket is in very good condition, with several tiny chips in the edges. The dust jacket states Library Edition, however this is not an ex-library copy. Holling Clancy Holling (1900-1973) was a teacher, freelance designer, advertising artist, and book illustrator. With the aid of his wife Lucille, he illustrated The Book of Indians (1935) and The Book of Cowboys (1936). He went on to write and illustrate fiction, combining nature and history themes.
