Book Description

TLS. 1pg. 8” x 10”. June 3, 1933. Harrisburg. A typed letter signed “Gifford Pinchot” on his Pennsylvania Governor letterhead. He wrote to Martin P. Klinger of Llanerch, Pennsylvania: “…I am delighted that you approve of my calling for the resignation of the Judges who have laid themselves open to criticism. The people of the State are entitled to courts beyond suspicion. I appreciate immensely the fine things you say about Mrs. Pinchot’s fight against the sweatshops, and your warm commendation does us both no end of good.” The letter has some light soiling and a dark signature.
