The author did revisions in 1913 after seeing the effects of the San Franc isco earthquake of 1906. This novel concerns Llama City, a colony of Atlantis, which is on the site later to become San Francisco; it is a romance among a highly technical society. Dark green cloth wi th gilt lettering on spine, gilt lettering and design with black rules on front cover. Gilt on spine faded, spine slightly faded, slight wear to tips and corners, dust soiling to top and bottom edges, foxing to page edges extending slightly into outer margin on a few pages otherwise very good..
