The Mississippi White Citizens Council had distributed an inflamatory racial intermarriage leaflet containing a speech by Prof. Roosevelt Williams" at an NAACP meeting. The claimed meeting, the professor and the remarks all turned out to be spurious. The indefensible defense of the executive secretary of the Mississippi White Citizens Council was, " We never claimed it to be Authentic.
