A note written by actor and comedian Joseph Jefferson (1829-1905) instructing McVicker's Theater to admit persons for admission to a performance. The note reads "McVickers Theater Give her box or six seats for tonight [signed] J Jefferson." It is attractively framed with a 3.75 inch (width) by 5.5 inch (height) studio portrait cabinet card dated 1894 by W. M. Morrison (William McKenzie Morrison [1857-1927]) when he was working out of the Haymarket Theater.
