- Full Leather
- London: Charles Harper; Jacob Tonson, 1701
London: Charles Harper; Jacob Tonson, 1701. Second Edition. Full Leather. Very Good binding. The Second Edition, the first being the 1696 edition. Ventris’s Reports appeared posthumously in two pars: 1. Cases in the King’s Bench; and 2. Cases in the Common Pleas. Though admitted to the Middle Temple, and called to the bar, Ventris “failed to secure a practice [and] devoted himself to reporting. ... [His reports] have a high reputation for accuracy” [see DNB, 1885-1900, Volume 58]. A rebacked copy in contemporary calf, with most of the original spine laid down. Lacking the endpapers and the engraved portrait of Ventris. Very Good binding.
