Paris; Nd(ca.1910): Institute Pestalozzi. Oblong Octavo. 33 high gloss pages with 200 photographs depicting all aspects of commercial activity throughout the world. All captions in English and with tissue guards. The technique was to reproduce images from glass slides. It begins with Human Carriers with 13 images of the ways people throughout the world carry items whether on their head, their back, with various water devices, etc. It follows with animal carriers, then, the variety of water transportation types of small boats, steamers, Harbors. Railroad transportation. Section 22 shows the possibilities of aerial transportation showing two early images of the Wright Brothers (noting only near Dayton, Ohio), an early dirigible, and a traditional balloon. It shows the variety of bridges, then shows how markets operate in city squares. Finally there are views ranging from gold miners in Colorado, donkey, camel and buffalo markets in Gizeh, Egypt, and the Great Iron and Steel Works in Austria. With library stamp to title page.
