1930
by STIMSON, Henry L. (1867 - 1950)
1930. unbound. near fine. 1 page, 9 x 7 inches, April 16, 1930, to powerful New York attorney Frederic R. Coudert, in full: "It was very good of you to send me Walter Lippmann's letter. We have had a pretty hard job in the Conference, and you may be sure that any such discriminating approval as yours and Walter Lippmann's is very welcome." Note: Henry L. Stimson's career spanned over 40 years and he is by no means scarce in autographic material -- except for letters on London Naval Conference letterhead. The conference was an attempt at disarmament of the World's Navies. Near fine condition. American statesman who served in the Cabinets of Presidents (truncated)
