1930. unbound. near fine. 1 page, 9 x 7 inches, April 16, 1930, to powerful New York attorney Frederic R. Coudert, in full: "It was very good of you to send me Walter Lippmann's letter. We have had a pretty hard job in the Conference, and you may be sure that any such discriminating approval as yours and Walter Lippmann's is very welcome." Note: Henry L. Stimson's career spanned over 40 years and he is by no means scarce in autographic material -- except for letters on London Naval Conference letterhead. The conference was an attempt at disarmament of the World's Navies. Near fine condition.
