Thick 8vo, embossed leather with gilt title on spine and top cover, gilted on page edges, illustrated, 840 pp. Lovely binding with wear at spine head and edges, browning and aging throughout, not the best period paper, but not that brittle, and in good shape. Overall, very good or better. A somewhat scarce biography of James A. Garfield, buy noted author Benson J. Lossing.
