Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine/very good. Inscribed by Baldrige on the front endpaper. Near fine in a very good jacket, clipped, lightly worn at the edges and corners, foxed on the verso. Red buckram with patterned paper on the boards. Square and firmly bound with a yellow top stain. Baldrige's memoir about her time as the "ringmaster" at the Villa Taverna, the residence of the American Ambassador to Italy. Warmly inscribed by Baldrige with her mentioning "Omaha was so good to come back to -- and it was wonderful seeing you!" Given Baldrige's attendance at the Sacred Heart Covent in Omaha, this is quite possibly an association copy.
