Quite scarce liturgical text with many musical notations. WorldCat lists only one copy of this edition, at the Zentral- und Hochschulbibliothek Luzern StandortSempacherstrasse in Lucerne, Switzerland. Karl Young noted also that there were copies at the British Library and the Quarr Abbey Library on the Isle of Wight. In honor of Cardinal Marcus Siticus whose uncle Pope Pius IV had made him a cardinal deacon before his formal appointment and becoming a chief legate to the Council of Trent. Bound in blind-stamped alum-tawed pigskin over wooden boards, finely rebacked and recornered in calf, raised bands with original pigskin spine laid down, two fine, functional, and early metal clasps that seem to have replaced the originals. Very nice.
