Front board impressed with supralibros of "Anna Maria Waltherin Geborne Hornigen." [Ann Maria Waltherin born Hornigen] Manuscript title at head of spine, small institutional label at foot. Title page printed in red and black inks. Printer's device at title page with the words "Fataviam Invenient" within the illustration; translates "the fates will find a way." Institutional bookplate on front pastedown, ink manuscript notations on front endpaper. Small errata section at end of index. Uniform light tanning of text, light scattered foxing, occasional short closed tear at leat edges. Very Good.

Melchiore Adamo [a/k/a Melchior Adam or Adamus, 1575-1622] was a German historian of literature from Selesia [now Grodkow]. This work contains biographies of German theologians. Adamo studied at various academies and was called to teach as magister at the municipal school of Hiedelberg, later becoming its co-rector and professor.
