(13 1/4 x 10 3/4 in. ; 337 x 265 mm.) 82 plates of which 64 are colored aquatints of city views and 17 colored line and stipple engravings of University costume. Half-titles present in both volumes. Vol. 1, plate 1 in second state, vol. 2, Hartford and Pembroke Colleges, plate in first state with aquatint between the images and title on slips. Old 3/4 pebble-grain morocco with cloth sides, a.e.g., Upper joint of volume 2 cracked, but cords holding, binding extremities with light wear. Usual offsetting from plates to facing text pages, some foxing in preliminaries, else fine. Provenance: Agnew, Baronet of Lochnaw (bookplate). Tooley 5; Abbey, Scenery 280.
