Square, tight and clean throughout without the typical foxing of a book from this period. Very light wear to the spine ends and tips. Contemporary owner's signature on the ffep. Very pretty unclipped (8/6) wrapper has some mild edge-wear and a couple of tiny closed tears that are barely noticeable. Some areas of soiling on the white panel. Bust still a very well-preserved example with no chipping or creases. Beautiful cover by F.H. Warren. A very attractive collectable copy at a great price.
