New Jersey; [n.p.]: Underwood & Underwood; [n.p., 1895. Two stereoviews on card, each 3 1/2 x 7 inches. Minor edge wear. Very good. A pair of stereoviews featuring African- American subjects. The first was published by Underwood & Underwood in New Jersey, and features several men, women, and children picking cotton in Georgia. The caption reads, "Cotton is King - Plantation Scene, Georgia" and is copyrighted 1895. The second image is a color-printed stereoview showing seven African-American men posing with sugar cane. This image is captioned, "Native Cane Grinders in Sunny Florida." It is no. 299 of a series, though the maker is not identified.
