Some minor staining to fixed and free endpapers of volume II. Two tissue guards stained at fore-edge (not intruding onto plates). A fine, handsome set with all the plates bright and clean.A penciled notation at the rear of volume I indicates that the binding was provided in 1905. The exquisite hand-colored aquatint plates are after paintings executed by Pollard, Cooper, Havell, Henderson, Rowlandson, Alken, et al. This work is considered to be the finest work on British stage coaching..
