(ca 1922); 12 x 17 3/4; pp. [20], brown wraps, printed in red and black; large leaves, stapled at fore-edge and folded to resemble a book; light creasing to edges and corners; first leaves in both books with offset to fore-edge from staples and small nicks, else minor wear; very good condition. A wonderfully-preserved set of pattern books, its art was created by Bess Bruce Cleveland (1876 - 1966) - a well-known artist, educator, and illustrator in the early 20th century. It was known that children and animals were her favorite subjects. The current posters were intended for many and various uses, such as tracing, copying, coloring, mounting, and so on. The images included Peter Pan, The Three Bears, Humpty Dumpty, etc.
