Contemporary half black calf over marbled boards, spines ruled in gilt with brown morocco labels, marbled edges. . Two volumes, twelvemo. Bookplate in Volume II, bookplate removed in Volume I. Some light rubbing to boards and edges. A very good set. Apparently lacks a half-title in Volume I. The author is George Drought Warburton (1816-1857, brother of the editor, who writes this based on his extensive North American travels. Warburton, who served as an army officer in Montreal, also traveled throughout Upper and Lower Canada, to the Hudson's Bay area, to New England and the Mid-Atlantic states of North America, and to Oregon and Mexico. Volume I is devoted largely to Canada, and Volume II largely to the United States. (Inventory #: 14221)
