The poems, in Russian and English on facing pages, were written by Andrei Voznesenskii (1933 - 2010) - a Soviet poet and author, who was referred to, in his lifetime, as "one of the greatest living poets n any language." The book was inscribed by him to fellow French-American poet and novelist Raymond Federman (1928 - 2009).
