A study of the making of the film A Walk in the Spring Rain which was based on the novella of the same name by Rachel Maddux, with a screenplay by Stirling Silliphant, directed by Guy Green, starring Anthony Quinn, Ingrid Bergman, and Fritz Weaver. Includes the complete novella by Maddux, the entire screenplay by Silliphant, and a lengthy commentary by Neil Isaacs. John Cassavetes (1929 - 1989) was a noted and thoroughly original actor and director, known primarily for his pioneering style in the art of cinema verite. Some of his most acclaimed work includes directing Faces (1968), Husbands (1970), with Minnie and Moskowitz (1971) and A Woman Under the Influence (1974) both starring his wife Gena Rowlands - with whom he worked on ten films, and The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976). Also widely known for his passionate acting in such films as The Killers, The Dirty Dozen, Rosemary’s Baby, Whose Life is it Anyway, and Tempest. (Inventory #: 16621E)
