The record of the first session of the newly incorporated State of California, 1850. Complete with two volumes in one. With all foundation laws for the new State, vote counts therefor, and reports on various subjects. According to Greenwood, the volume was printed in New York despite the San Jose imprint. Foxing to the endpapers only; some staining to the bottom edge of the textblock; writing on the California State Library bookplate, bleeding onto the opposite page, the front endpaper. Minor loss to the extremities of the spine and edges of the boards; front joint cracked but holding well; surface wear to the spine. Half leather, with red and black leather labels, over marbled paper boards. Very Good. 570, (571)-1347 pp. OCLC notes two institutional holdings. (Robert Greenwood. California Imprints 167n).
