[Philadelphia]: Not published., 1865 - 1866. As issued.. Fine.. Eleven engraved admission tickets measuring approximately 125 x 90 mm printed on colored card stock; some are illustrated & signed.
Rouse attended medical school in 1865 - 1866 and graduated to serve briefly in the Civil War as an Acting Assistant Surgeon with the 30th New Jersey Regiment. He died in Buffalo, New York in 1913. The engraved lecture admission tickets are for Materia Medica with Joseph Carson, Anatomy signed by Hayes Agnew and another by Joseph Leidy, Theory with Stillé, Surgery with Smith, Operative Surgery also with Smith, Chemistry signed by Rogers etc.. There is also a ticket for his examinations that provides the week long schedule of exams (holograph) for his medical degree. The dissertation topic was Dyspepsia. (Inventory #: 18029)
