France (ca. 1450). Fine. A manuscript leaf from a Book of Hours, in Latin, on vellum; 115mm x 83mm; verso and recto. Gothic littera bastarda script, in red and dark brown, or black ink; single column, 14 lines. One-quarter panel border decoration of rinceaux, with burnished gold ivy leaves and floral motif in tempera. A fine example from the 15th Century.
