Cleveland, Ohio: Cleveland Press, 1910. Minor age toning.. A three page calendar for the year 1910. The calendar is a Courier Calendar that was produced by the newspaper Cleveland Press. Each page features a doll couple from a different country. The first image of dolls from Britain: the girl doll has blond hair and is in a green dress, while the boy is a toy soldier in the uniform of a Buckingham Palace guard. The second couple is from Japan, and features the boy and girl dolls in traditional clothing, kissing. The last couple is from Sweden, the girl in a traditional Swedish milk maid outfit hugging the boy doll, with both wearing wooden clogs. At the base each of the pages are two lines to poem, which altogether is:
"For every star a drop of dew-
For every heart a heart as true.
Like to like is drawn, love
As I am drawn to thee!
I am made for love and her,
And she for love and me."
The right margin of each illustration features the calendar months. The first page only has January on it. The second has February through July, and the last page has August through December on it. The three pages are hole punched at the top and bound together with a piece of twine. Measures 10 3/4" x 7 1/4
