Address delivered by Brown University's president on the recent Dorr Rebellion, during which the local middle class, led by Thomas Wilson Dorr, organized an unsuccesful bid to expand enfranchisement in the state--at the time voters were required to be white, male, and own (truncated) at least $134 in property.
