CT'ink have been working in various fields of design, illustration and street art. The book shows examples of their reactions to issues taken from the media or their direct surroundings. It explains the transition from random thoughts and influences to their various ways of expression in paintings, potters, stickers, installations, etc; and gives insight into their motivations. CT'ink are best known for their complex, highly detailed, multi-layered stencils. Their work is a commentary on everyday life in a superficial and style-oriented environment. The tone varies between sarcastic/ironic and serious. The subjects of their paintings, as well as the range of materials employed, show CT'ink's love for absurdities and overlooked items. Old wood, bulky waste and cardboard are among their favourites. Most pieces are painted with a mixture of spray cans, markers, wall paint and pencils. CT'ink was the collective name of the artists Pisa73 and Evol. A/React retraces their first few years action on the streets of Berlin and other European cities. The book uncovers complex imagery and an original take on the selection of materials. Their stencils are recognisable through carefully laid layers, as well as each composition's careful detailing.--evoltaste.com.
