This particular book in the series, American Natural History Series is number 3, and dedicated to the "preservation of specimens" or what we know as taxidermy. Taxidermy was not only a business but a hobby during the Victorian era. Includes collection tips, dissection and preservation of birds, eggs, insects, reptiles, fish, shells and mammals.
