Germany: Frankfurt am Main, Literary Institution of Rutten and Loeing, 1877. New covers, and minor repair work throughout. When the book was rebound the last ten or so pages of the book were not rebound in the correct order, however, all stories/pages are present. Minor toning and soiling due to age.. A book of fairy tales and fables whose title of Unter'in Marchenbaum, translates to "Under the Fairy Tale Tree". The roughly translated titles of the stories included in the book are: "Spring, the North Wind, Mamsell Pimpernell, the Giant and the Dwarves, Karlchen Nassweis or the Moon Journey Against Will, The Strong Hans, the Birch Mermaid Glamor Ruth, the Child in the Glasshouse, the Mohrenkind, Dom Kinde Who Does Not Want to Sleep, the Fairy Tale of the Long Nose, From the Sugar Hugo, From the Easter-Haas, From the Lion and the Crocodile, Sweet-toothed Cat and the Three Dogs, the Watchful Ravens, Rainbow Bowl, Christmas Fairy Tale, and Sandman." With the exception of the tile page, each page has a hand-colored illustrated by Eugen Klimsch. These illustrations are brightly colored and often depict the humorous portions of the stories.
